Vincent Medical Holdings Limited (“Vincent Medical” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”, stock code: 1612) was invited to attend the “30th Anniversary of Kaiping City – Conference on Attracting High-quality Enterprises and Investment” held in Chikan, Kaiping, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (“GBA”) today. The management of the Group was one of the speakers at the conference, and through such opportunity, it has announced its plan to set up a production facility in Cui Shan Lake Technology Industrial Park in Kaiping.
Mr. Raymond Choi, the Executive Director and CEO of Vincent Medical, said “As a Hong Kong-headquartered medical device manufacturer and solutions provider, Vincent Medical actively responds to the national call of promoting the high-quality development of local industries of individual provinces and cities. We strive to be part of the domestic manufacturing development in Guangdong, which remains a key component of our future strategy, that would allow us to capture further opportunities in the GBA. The new production facility, with automated production lines, integrated IT platform and production planning system, is expected to greatly improve production management, enhance product traceability, and increase production efficiency.”
As Vincent Medical celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, the Group also took the opportunity to review its production infrastructure. Given the uncertain market environment, the Group believes that it is essential to expand its production capacity and improve efficiency, in order to enjoy greater autonomy and flexibility in the market. Having considered several factors such as local policy incentives, the availability of skilled labour, and its strategic location, the Group has identified Cui Shan Lake Technology Industrial Park in Kaiping as the ideal location for its modern production facility, which would be focusing on the manufacturing of medical disposables and rehabilitation devices. The Group is now deep into its planning process, and is expected to commence construction within this year. It is believed that the new facility will help the Group to further explore business opportunities arising from contract development and manufacturing, and at the same time, strengthening the collaborations with its existing partners so as to further consolidate its position in the supply chain.
